Well it’s now been a week since MissB started wearing big girl pants during the day at nursery. Reports from nursery are that she has been doing great. I’m certainly getting less washing sent home than I expected.

During week days when MissB is at nursery, I put her in a pull up in the morning until we get to nursery as by the time I’ve loaded everybody in the car, dropped MasterB at his room and got round to MissB’s room it would be asking for an accident particular as she’s usually just had a drink before we leave home.

Once at nursery she changes into big girl pants and wears them most of the day except for if they are playing outside or having a nap. She then changes back into pull ups at 5pm ready for me to pick her up again.

When home from nursery she will always ask to use the potty if she needs a wee, even during meal times and bath time so i think we are making great progress. She seems to really understand when she needs to go now and is really proud of herself. We’ve had no tears or upsets over accidents as we just brush over it and don’t make a fuss!

Last weekend I made MissB a potty chart and bought stickers to give her every time she uses the potty. On Saturday she got 4 stickers, on Sunday 13! And over the rest of this week she’s earned another 4 so the total currently stands at 21

We have now got a 4 day weekend coming up so hopefully we will be able to continue the good work and really make some more progress.

One issue I do find at home is that MissB tends to drink a lot during the day as there is always a cup around. This means she wants a wee pretty much constantly so I may have to have a think about limiting her drinks to meal and snack times to see if it cuts down the number of times she needs the potty during the day.
