My Carry Potty Review
Well potty training is still going great! MissB is wearing pants 90% of the time but she is still wearing pull ups when we go out. Even so she is very reluctant to wet herself and tries her hardest to wait until she has an opportunity to use the potty. We were recently sent a My Carry Potty from Cheeky Rascals to review and this has been a godsend over the last couple of weeks.
Anyone who has been through potty training already will remember the panic when you hear “want a wee wee” at the most awkward time possible when you are out. Even when wearing pull ups MissB gets upset if she can’t just do a wee wee then and there bless her. The My Carry Potty is now an essential part of our going out kit! Whenever we hear those words now we just have to find somewhere quiet to pull over if driving (obviously road safety is important and we don’t pull up on hard shoulders of motorways etc) or a quiet corner or toilet to nip into to use her potty. It really has saved us a considerable amount of stress over the last few weeks! MissB is so much happier going out knowing that she doesn’t need to wet herself as she almost always has a potty within reach
I don’t think it will be long until we ditch the pull ups whilst out and move to pants seeing as they are rarely wet anymore.
I admit when I first saw the potty, I was concerned it looked a little on the small side compared to MissB’s other potties but the minute I showed it MissB when she got home from nursery she said “want a wee wee in it” and so it was christened within 2 minutes of her seeing it lol. If the size didn’t bother MissB then it certainly shouldn’t bother me lol.
What MissB loves about her My Carry Potty is that she can carry it around and it is hers
She loves sitting in the boot of our car to use it and she loves taking it everywhere with her. It’s light to carry and small enough that she can carry it around without tripping over it
What I love about the My Carry Potty is that it is so so practical! Having a potty that is easy to carry around and can be used pretty much anywhere is a godsend. In particular the fact that if there is nowhere to empty the potty you can just close it up. It’s leak proof and odour proof so you can safely carry it around until you get the opportunity to empty it. The My Carry Potty pretty much lives in our car now and accompanies us on all our trips out, it’s been to York, to Newcastle (OK so the photo below was taken at the top of the Baltic Museum in Gateshead – now that really was a toilet with a view lol) and we wouldn’t leave the house without it!
You can buy My Carry Potty for £24.99 from Cheeky Rascals which I think is a good price for such a practical product. It’s one of those products that will get used time and time again and will save so much stress when out and about. Anything that makes my life easier in some way is worth that money
It is available in three colours, blue, pink and yellow. I of course opted for yellow as no sooner will MissB finish using it, it will be time for MasterB to start potty training

Tippitoes Toilet Training Seat, Potty and Stool Review
We have very kindly been sent a soft seat trainer, potty and step stool set from Tippitoes to review. As we are in the middle of potty training it was a most welcome item!
“Combining three functions in one elegent design the Tippitoes Soft Seat Trainer, Potty & Step Stool will grace any bathroom. The build quality and finish set the Tippitoes Potty and Toilet range apart from others. With external white plastic and internally a choice of blue, pink or grey trimming the unit is robust yet attractive. The Potty unit comes with a hygenic handle to ease emptying, whilst the Trainer has a soft padded seat suitable for boys and girls. This multi functional product is fantastic for potty training and beyond.”
To cut straight to the point, we think this product is fantastic! When using it as a potty, it is very stable and the comfortable toilet seat helped MissB get the idea of using the toilet and it made the transition of moving from potty to toilet a whole lot easier. The handle on the tray inside made emptying it and cleaning it super easy. One bonus we found was being able to pop the lid on the potty as with MasterB crawling around it kept him out of mischief whilst I was busy pulling up MissB’s trousers etc.
MissB goes to nursery during the week, where she gets to use their baby toilets. Now obviously most homes don’t tend to come with a mini sized toilet in them but we were keen to get her using our toilet as soon as possible and this is where this product really has been a godsend. The potty converts into a sturdy step and the seat just pops onto the toilet and voila you have a mini toilet.
MissB loves using the seat on the toilet, she must find it comfortable as she will happily spend hours sitting on it
I genuinely believe this product has helped us to get over the poo issues we’ve been having as she has been able to sit comfortably and relax. The seat also has handles on each side of it which gives her a bit more stability when sitting on our higher toilet seat.
The set sells for £21.99 over on the Tippitoes website which I think is great value as you get the potty, step and seat altogether. It also comes in pink, blue or grey (as usual I opted for the neutral grey as no sooner will MissB finish with it, it will be time for MasterB to start potty training). Overall this is a fantastic potty training product that we in the Brown household give a major thumbs up!
