The Day That Review
The day that MasterB was born has always had a dark shadow hanging over it for us, unlike MissB’s birth, MasterB’s was traumatic and stressful and there are very few pleasant memories of that day for us. In fact I only saw MasterB for about 30 seconds when I came round from my general anaesthetic that day. When I was asked if I’d like to review a framed photograph from The Day That I immediately knew that I had to choose MasterB’s day of birth for this very reason.
There was one moment on the 14th February 2011 that myself and my husband remember vividly, it was just as I was about to go into theatre and a song came on the radio. It was Elbow and Looking Like A Beautiful Day. I remember looking at my husband and we both smiled and held hands and we knew then it was all going to be ok.
I wanted something to remember MasterB’s birth by with a nice memory and The Day That offered a beautiful reminder of the day. I went to their website and looked at the photographs taken on that day and chose the one I liked the most, there were 11 to choose from and I chose the one above as it seemed so calm and peaceful and I wanted my photo to remind me of that minute of calm before going into theatre.
I received in a birch frame as this matches the rest of the decoration in my house and I think it looks absolutely stunning. The inscription I got is something a little bit special, having looked at their website I think it wouldn’t have fitted into the message form on there but I got what I asked for, it really makes this photograph completely personal to us.
When I first opened this photograph I cried, you see it’s so beautiful and it’s a perfect reminder of a very special moment on what for me was a horrible and stressful day. I look at it and I see a beautiful, calm dawn and I read the inscription and it is well, perfect
Everyday since midsummers day 2005, The Day That have been going out and taking photographs of the dawn rising over the beautiful cornish coastline and I think these would make a beautiful reminder of a birth, wedding or other special event. It would make a lovely christening present for somebody or a wedding gift? If you’re looking for unique baby gifts then this fits the bill perfectly. Prices start from £85 for a small 35cm x 28cm print up to £250 for an exhibition sized 84×66.5cm. I received the classic size of 50cmx40cm which is the perfect size to go in our living room where it will be proudly hung.
If you would like to get your very own personalised photo, The Day That have a fantastic offer just for you, where you can get a mounted, unframed print absolutely free with every framed print you order. To claim your free print, or just to find out more about them, phone The Day That directly on 01736 758109 and tell them I sent you. Bags of Love – My beautiful Fathers Day gifts!
When Bags of Love contacted me to ask if I would like a 12″x16″ canvas of my choice to review I was more than happy to accept, although me being a little cheeky asked for two (well I do have 2 children after all). I thought a canvas of each of the children would make a fabulous Fathers Day gift for my husband. Well the canvases have just arrived and I can’t resist showing them to you (just don’t tell my husband!). They are great quality and look absolutely beautiful.
This one of MissB was taken using my Iphone and not a fancy high megapixel camera but it has still come out really well, it’s one of my favourite ever photos of her and now we can have it permanently on view
And this one of MasterB was taken by my sister Sonia Thorpe Photography and because she is my sister I’m allowed to use her images for things like this
I think my husband is going to be delighted with his Fathers Day gifts this year
Head on over to the Bags of Love website Here to check out what other fantastic gifts they offer, from photo laptop cases, holdalls, digital keyrings and oh my goodness you can even get a deckchair – how funky is that!!
