Trendy Toddlers – Rocking The NEXT Autumn/Winter Collection

Regular readers of this blog will know that we were lucky enough to be invited to a Mummy Blogger event held by NEXT recently where we got to preview their children’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. We were also given a gift card with which to buy some outfits for our children. I’ve finally got round to going shopping and so here is MissB and MasterB rocking their new clothes :) I love NEXT clothes, they always look beautiful, wash well and are really well made. I’ve managed to find links to most of the clothes online but there are a few items which we found instore which I can’t find online at the moment.

MissB wears top found instore costing £9.50 and navy leggings costing £3.50. I love this pretty top and it’s perfect with a pair of plain leggings for those warmer days :)

MissB wears Butterfly Print Blouse costing £13, I think this is so beautiful :)

MasterB wears Polo Shirt in blue and grey costing £7. I think MasterB looks so grown up in this, we can never have enough tops for him as he is constantly drooling everywhere at the moment bless him.

MissB wears Dad T-Shirt and Turn Up Jeans (see below). The Dad T-shirt and the big sister t-shirt were 2 for £8 instore. These were Daddy’s choice but very appropriate as MissB is a complete Daddy’s girl :)

MissB wears Super Star T-Shirt costing £7 and Rib Waist Turn Up Jeans costing £11. MissB loves anything sparkly so we had to get her this top :)

MasterB wears Train T-Shirt costing £7 (found instore, I can’t find it online at the moment) and Jeans costing £9. I tried so hard to get MasterB to stand still for a nice photo in this outfit but he was having none of it so this was the best I could do. The blue of the shirt makes his blue eyes really pop and I love the little train :)

I personally think they both look gorgeous in their new outfits (obviously I’m biased) and I can’t believe I managed to get all these clothes for around £75. We are off on holiday next week so it’s lovely to have some brand new outfits for them that they can show off :)

Next Autumn/Winter 2012 – My Top Picks

Today I was lucky enough to be invited by Next to see their new Children’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection. As well as beautiful clothes they really pulled out the stops with providing lovely food, beauty treatments and children’s entertainment. I was also given a £75 gift card with which I will be buying some outfits to review shortly :)

Below are a selection of the outfits which I loved…

I really like the combination of blues and mustard, I can see MasterB looking cute in this

And this outfit I absolutely love, MissB will love the sparkly star t-shirt and I think the skirt is super cute :)

I think MissB may be a bit big for this outfit now but I love the little cap and denim jacket combination :)

This outfit may be a little old for MissB yet but I really liked the tweed style waistcoat and shorts combination and I love love love the sparkly bag!

Disclosure: I’ve been thoroughly spoilt by Next today but my opinion of the clothes is honest. I received a gift card, goody bag and a lovely day out :)

Next – ParalympicsGB Official Supporters Scarf – How Do You Wear Yours?

Presenting the Next ParalympicsGB Official Supporters Scarf..

20120403-125242.jpg

However you wish to wear it, the Must Have Item is more than a piece of attire. It is a piece of British history, a memento for you and of one of Britain’s greatest teams.

The hand painted lion is a visual reflection of a quote that describes the sheer courage, talent and determination of our Great British Athletes. If you look closely you’ll also find 60 hands to symbolise the athletes’ 60 million supporters and the map of Great Britain.

The scarf can be bought for £10 and is 90x90cm, it also comes in a smaller 50x50cm size, priced £5 and can be bought in any Next store or online. All profits from the sale of this item will be donated to the British Olympic Association – helping British Olympic and Paralympic athletes deliver their best performance at London 2012 and beyond.

Buy your scarf now and show your support! Wear it, Wave it and Win with it by uploading photos of how you style your scarf at www.next.co.uk/scarf to win prizes.

I’ve been busy experimenting with mine and here is what I came up with… of course there are countless ways you can wear your scarf in your hair (I don’t really like wearing scarves around my neck!) but these are just a few :)

A simple bandana look

Tie in your pony tail for a classic look

Fasten around a bun with a hair band

The Up Do - Front!

The Up Do - Back!

A full bandana

Bandana Back View!

and why not try something a little different, with a couple of elastic bands and a safety pin I created this Team GB Corsage which would look fab clipped to a bag or a simple top :)

So there you are, a few ideas for you.

I’ve been shopping!

Bear with me but I’m a little excited as after months of just wearing my old maternity clothes, I have finally got round to going shopping and buying a few new clothes :) Unfortunately I have nobody here to show them off to at the moment and so I thought I’d post some pics here to show them off :) When I say “shopping” I of course mean it in the “sitting on my sofa with a cup of tea and my iphone” type of shopping as I just don’t like going into shops and with 2 small children it is pretty much impossible!

I’ll start by saying these are all from Next as it is one of my favourite shops, and I’ll just clarify that they haven’t asked me to write this post, I’m doing it because I want to show off all my new clothes :) I am however part of their blogger network which you can check out by clicking on the badge on the left sidebar of the blog :)

As you will probably be able to tell from the following photos, I’m very happy that my favourite colour seems to be in trend this autumn/winter and so I’ve gone a little mad buying things (and yes they do coordinate with my bedroom aswell lol but as I said it IS my favourite colour!)

A stripey blue number

Teal spotty top :)

Teal and Navy Stripey Top

Teal top with scarf

Something that isn't teal (I thought I'd be brave!)

A little present I got from Next for a previous post - and no animals were harmed in making this! I am veggie remember!

And I just couldn’t resist these shoes, completely impractical for mum duties but they ARE my favourite colour ;)

Shoe Love!

I think that little lot will keep me going for a little while at least, now I just need to have a major wardrobe clearout and make space for it all :)

The NEXT Autumn/Winter 2011 Preview

I was very kindly invited down to see the NEXT Autumn/Winter 2011 preview of their new collection and thought I’d give you a sneaky peak of a few of my favourite items from the collection. I’ve already compiled quite a shopping list and I can’t wait for the range to be available in the stores so I can start shopping :)

How gorgeous is this coat? MissB is so going to have this!

And of course she will have to have these matching wellies!

And every girl has to have a gorgeous handbag!!

And I love this Gillet and Top!

I can't forget MasterB, this jacket has really cute elbow patches!

And how snug and warm does this boys coat look!

Can't forget me - I love these boots! Very yummy mummy :)
