Dribble Rash – The War is Over!
Well there have been a few posts on MissB’s dribble rash over recent months on this blog after our seemingly endless battle. As a quick recap this was the rash at it’s worst
It was awful, we had months of trying different creams, prescription ezcema ointments and pretty much anything we could find and absolutely nothing would shift it. I have a period of about 3 months where I rarely took any photos of MissB as the rash was just so awful
Can you see any sign of dribble rash there? Nope? Amazing isn’t it! I think we have finally won the war. And what was it that finally banished the dribble rash I hear you ask. Well it was a cream I picked up in Tesco one day as yet another attempt to see if something worked.
Kamillosan cream, their website is here if you want to check them out and you can find their cream in most supermarkets. Got to be worth a try if you are struggling with dribble rash blues too! PS and it smells delicious aswell
Dribble Rash Blues – An Update
Well it’s been about a week since I posted this photo of MissB when I was despairing about her dribble rash and our inability to shift it.
Well after trying a few suggestions I finally went back to the doctors with her last Thursday and they prescribed some hydrocortisone cream for it. So for the last few days we’ve been religiously applying HC cream morning and night and Lansinoh cream inbetween and today we are looking like this
It’s not quite perfect yet but it’s a major improvement
Thank you so much for all your tips and advice, it’s been really appreciated over the last week. Hopefully we’ve seen the last of that nasty rash for a while.
Dribble Rash Blues
I’m getting really down about this at the moment as it seems like I have tried absolutely everything possible to get rid of MissB’s dribble rash and it just won’t shift. I’ve tried metanium cream, sudocreme, vaseline, intensive moisturiser, ezcema cream and nothing seems to help. It seems to fade during the day when I’m constantly applying creams but as soon as I put her down for a nap or overnight it just gets worse and we’re back to square one.
I have so many photos of MissB up to about 9 months but I have hardly any nice photos of her since then as they are all marred by this horrible red rash. I could cry as it’s getting so bad.
We’ve been to the doctors and we brushed off and told to use Metanium cream and I got the feeling they just thought I was yet another paranoid mum
This is what she looked like yesterday – it breaks my heart
It just looks so sore
If anyone has any tips / solutions then please let me know.
