Win A Gift Set Containing Over £40 of Fabulous Products from The Buddha Beauty Company
I’ve had a few competitions for prizes for your children, but this is definitely one for you to treat yourself with
As a vegetarian I’m always keen to promote companies that have vegetarian and vegan friendly products and so when The Buddha Beauty Company got in touch to tell me about their products and offer a lovely prize for one of my readers, I was delighted to help.
“Emma and Llewelyn are world travellers, and the founders of The Buddha Beauty Company. Drawing inspiration from the many lands they have visited, with a particular admiration for the exotic spas of Thailand and the Far East, the Buddha Beauty Company was born after more than a decade of voyaging the globe. Since its conception, the Company has developed an elegant range of skincare products and home fragrances that are natural and authentic, effectual and delectably appealing.”
The Buddha Beauty Company are proud winners of 2011 Best Non-Food Vegan Retailer of The Year Award, their products are all vegetarian and vegan friendly, organic and not tested on cute little animals
I’ve been having a look at the products on their website and I have to admit I’m very jealous of this prize! I particularly like the look of the Organic Massage Candles and the Bath Bombs.
The Buddha Beauty Company have kindly agreed to give one of my lovely readers a gift set containing your choice of a cleanser, toner, body moisturiser and a couple of bath bombs. This would come to over £40 in value and make a fantastic treat for yourself or a gift for somebody special. Entry is through the Rafflecopter widget below, there is one compulsory entry of leaving a comment and the other entries are entirely optional. The competition will close on Sunday June 10th. Good luck xx
If you weren’t the lucky winner then Buddha Beauty have kindly offered a 20% discount to all my readers, simply enter pride20 on checkout!
My Beauty Bundle Review
I was contacted by My Beauty Bundle recently who asked if I would like to receive one of their bundles to review.
My Beauty Bundle is a new company which sends out beautifully packaged bundles each month to subscribers. Each Beauty Bundle is designed to help mums-to-be and new mums discover new products for mum and baby, whatever stage of pre or postnatal pregnancy they are in. The My Beauty Bundle team have hand picked a selection of products for both mum and baby for use during pregnancy and motherhood.
“We know that you don’t always have the time or the energy to go shopping, so let us put together the perfect pamper package and deliver it directly to your door.
Simply let us know babies due date or birthday on subscription and leave the rest to us. Baby has already arrived? Don’t worry! The bundle keeps on giving even after you are a parent & will include some surprises for baby too!”
When the box arrived through the post, I was impressed with the packaging, the tissue paper and ribbon give the package a special touch which is always a nice.
My bundle contained the following items:
Weleda Skin Food (30ml) worth £4.95 – a deeply nourishing cream for the hard working mum, which smells and feels lovely. I have really dry hands and use loads of hand cream so it’s always nice to try some new ones.
Vital Touch Natalia Baby Bottom Butter (15ml) – an organic shea butter and camomile butter for soothing babies bottoms. I’ve used this cream before and love the smell of it. This can be purchased on the site for £5.
Madara Moonflower Tinting Fluid (3ml sachet) – this cream has a light tint which illuminates and moisturisers your face and neck. I did like this product but found the 3ml sachet a bit of a disappointing sample size to be honest! Though I did find it on the site for £20.99 for 50ml.
Lavara Mango Milk Shampoo (30ml) worth £1.50 – a shampoo which smells of Mango and has the added bonus of colour protection.
Each bundle costs £15 including postage and you can subscribe on a monthly basis or buy bundles of 3,6 or 12 months. Maybe as a gift idea for a baby shower or to treat a new mum?
I do like the idea of receiving new and interesting beauty products every month but I did think £15 was a little expensive for the 4 sample sized products I received. The value of products I received in my bundle was £11.45 not including the 3ml sample of Madara Moonflower Tinting Fluid so you get pretty much what you pay for in the bundle including postage costs. Personally I would feel a bit extravagant buying the bundle for myself each month but if I was given it as a gift then I’d be very happy to receive it! I particularly liked that 3 of the products in the bundle were for ME though and only one was for baby, it’s nice to feel pampered as a mum occasionally and get something for myself rather than everything being about babies
Glossy Box
If you’re looking for a fantastic present idea for the woman who has pretty much everything and is a little obsessed with beauty products then look no further than Glossy Box. I’m one of those women who walks hastily past all the cosmetic/beauty counters in department stores as a) the environment terrifies me and b) it’s all just far too confusing and I really wouldn’t know where to start!

So how does Glossy Box work? You simply subscribe to Glossy Box for £12.95 including postage a month and then receive a beautifully packaged Glossy Box sent straight to your door each month. Every Glossy Box contains 5 luxury mini products from high-end brands.

I was lucky enough to be sent the October Glossy Box and I can certainly say I was impressed. The Box arrived beautifully packaged and contained:
and as a special bonus in the October Glossy Box there is a Dermalogica Age Smart Renewal Lip Complex and a beauty bag
I don’t think I’d have ever thought about buying any of the full size products from a shop but being able to try the minatures will make me more confident about buying larger products in the future.

Glossy Box will shortly be adding gift subscriptions to their website which will be
3 months for £30 plus p+p
6 months for £60 plus p+p
12 months for £139.50 including p+p
I think this would make a great christmas present idea
