MasterBs Vision

I’ve decided I need to post more photos of MasterB with his eyepatches, I try to match them to his outfits
Progress!
I had to share this moment with you. You see, MasterB’s lack of hand eye co-ordination because of his vision problems has meant that although he feeds himself, it has never been particularly great. He was late in being able to pick up small objects from his plate and eating was usually just grasping handfuls of anything and shoving it in his mouth.
Of course, it all made sense when we found his eyesight was so bad. How could he have picked up small things when everything was pretty much a blur and he struggled to focus on anything close to him. (He is long sighted +8.5 in each eye).
This is why this video makes me happy, a little later than most toddlers but seeing MasterB doing this makes me realise how much he is improving since wearing glasses

Cheeky boy in the bath
You can really see how much his eye turns in when not wearing glasses in this photo bless him

I love seeing him looking at books nowadays, he never showed any interest in them before he got glasses

MasterB had a check up at Sunderland Eye Infirmary this morning and apparently his use of the lazy eye has improved 20-30% over the last 6 weeks we’ve been patching
He will always need glasses but nowadays I find it strange seeing him without them

I’m a day late posting yesterdays photo but MasterB has developed a very annoying habit of taking off his glasses and bringing them to me…

I know it’s only been 2 months of wearing glasses and three weeks of eye patching but I’m convinced his wonky eye isn’t as wonky anymore…
