MissB loves watching CBeebies before nursery in a morning and she particularly loves Mike The Knight (I think this is because he looks a little like her real Uncle Mike!). We’ve been sent a copy of the first Mike The Knight DVD – Knight In Training which will be released on Monday March 19th

Mike The Knight

Mike is an energetic, cheeky yet bountiful young knight-in-training, driven by his passion to help others and, along the way, be the best knight he can be. With his father, the King away exploring faraway lands Queen Martha has put Mike in charge of helping her protect the Kingdom of Glendragon.

Determined to do his best, through comedy and adventure with his rallying cry ‘Be a knight, do it right’ Mike learns the power of responsibility and how to do things the right way.

With a little help from his Big Book for little Knights in training, the would-be-hero rises to each episode’s mission with the help of his closest friends: Sparkie and Squirt a pair of friendly, quirky dragons, and his trusty steed Galahad. Never far from the action and always willing to help out is Mike’s fun and free-spirited sister Evie, a wizard in training.

In the new DVD, your little ones can join Mike and his friends on five fun-filled adventures, be seranaded with a selection of songs from Glendragon’s resident bard Fernando and listen to the exclusive ditty “Huzzah for Glendragon!”. The episodes on the DVD are Scary Dragons, Evie’s Birthday Present, Fluttering Favour, Trollee’s Sleepover and Mission Home. The run time is 65 minutes, which is ideal for us as we tend to play DVDs in the car whilst on long journeys and it’s always nice to have something to keep them quiet for an hour :)

We were also sent a copy of “Meet Mike” , the new paperback Mike The Knight Book which tells the story of Mike and introduces you to all his friends in Glendragon :)
